Our cheques are cleared by Chequespread Plc
(subject to status which may involve a credit search against you)
Your details will be recorded and passed to Chequespread Plc to whom you will be contacted if the cheque is unpaid.
They will record your details and may disclose these to a credit reference agency or other business for the purpose of credit assessment and management in respect of you and members of your household, the acceptance of future cheques, credit marketing and advertising, debt collection or fraud prevention.
Chequespread Plc will charge you a fee if your cheque is dishonoured.
On the back of the cheques, the following information needs to be written:
1. Cheque guarantee card number, expiry date & card limit (for personal cheques) Or the word ‘business’ (for business cheques).
2. Permanent address & postcode of the cheque-drawer (or the company address and post code for business cheques).
3. A static telephone contact number of the cheque-drawer.
